Chelsea injected fresh boost into their campaign as they came from behind to play out a 4-4 draw with Manchester City. Former City players Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling displayed some breathtaking football as the Blues have managed put a brake to their tumultuous top flight form. Chelsea came to the match on a back of a brilliant 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea played out a 4-4 draw with Manchester City

City have looked vulnerable especially in the Premier League and Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino used two of his most potent weapons to derail City's winning juggernaut in the top flight. Erling Haaland scored a brace while Manuel Akanji and Rodri also found their names on the scoresheet. For Chelsea Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling and Nicholas Jackson found the target while Palmer's late penalty rescued a point for the West Londoners.

There was a moment when Haaland shoved away his former teammate Palmer during the match. Pep Guardiola's side was awarded a freekick on the edge of the area and the likes of Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish was seen discussing their tactics in a hurdle. Palmer tried to listen in to the conversation but Haaland was seen pushing the player away from that place.

Palmer joined Chelsea from City and the City academy product played against the defending champions for the first time against his professional career. One being asked his reaction the English youngster said, "Yeah, [It was] very strange.

“That’s the first time I’ve played against City since I left but I have the utmost respect for the club that I spent 15 years at. It was nice to see some friends - unlucky not to get the win but it was a great game.

“I was excited before the game to see some faces and show what I can do. It was a great game and we went behind a few times and bounced back.”

There will now be an extended international break and the Premier League will resume on the last week of November.
