Christophe Galtier made a huge statement on Cristiano Ronaldo

Even as he gets closer to his 40s, Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo never stops showing off his extraordinary abilities and being a top performer. Ronaldo put on an incredible show for Al-Nassr, scoring two vital goals that led to an exciting 4-3 AFC Champions League victory over Al Duhail. MMA fighter Francis Ngannou and FIFA president Gianni Infantino were among the distinguished visitors present at the contest.

Galtier, the manager of Al Duhail coached PSG last season, where he coached his arch-rival Lionel Messi, who tried his best to stop CR7, but he was not able to stop the threat that he posed. His outstanding accomplishments and hunger to succeed even at such an age have left Christophe Galtier mesmerized. He called CR7 the best player in the world and made a huge statement about him during the post-match press conference. He said:

“When you face Ronaldo, there isn't much you can do. He scored two beautiful goals. I'm at a loss for words to describe him. What he did is extraordinary for a 38-year-old. He's still the best player in the world.”

Galtier has worked with Lionel Messi before at PSG, but he appears to favour the style of Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo over that of Argentina's Messi. The fact that Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 20 goals in just 19 games this season is indicative of this proclivity. Messi, his competitor in the competition for the Ballon d'Or, on the other hand, has just finished his first season in the MLS with Inter Miami, playing in 2023.
