Early breaking the deadlock, Ayman Yahya netted the opening goal in the eighth minute, establishing Al-Nassr's dominance. In the 57th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo secured the deal with a goal. With Marcelo Brozovič getting a red card in the 90+3rd minute, Al-Taawoun's chances suffered further. The game took place at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium, and Al-Taawoun and Al-Nassr displayed an explosive duel with sixteen shots apiece.

Leading Al-Nassr to the Saudi Super Cup final with a 2-0 triumph against Al-Taawoun on Wednesday, August 14, Cristiano Ronaldo was delighted after he scored an incredible goal, this marked his first goal of the 2024/25 season. Al-Nassr will now be facing Al-Hilal in the championship, set for Saturday, August 17.

With Al-Hilal, who had earlier outperformed Luis Castro's squad in the Saudi Pro League and the King's Cup final last season, easily keeping their advantage, Luis Castro's team set up a challenge.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his side had a 2-1 loss against Al-Hilal in the semi-finals of the Super Cup during the previous season. Al-Hilal, who emerged victorious in their semi-final match against Al-Ahli Saudi with a 4-1 penalty shootout win following a 1-1 draw, now poses as an obstacle for them.
