'I Don't Have to Speak, The Pitch Will,': Star Paul Pogba Remains Confident on His Return From Ban
Self-assured star Paul Pogba exudes confidence ahead of his return to football from a reduced ban, stating, "I don't have to speak, the pitch will."
After his suspension was reduced to 18 months, Paul Pogba, a remarkable talent, wants to make a triumphant comeback to football. The football scene awaits the choice on where this powerful player will carry on his career, given the uncertainties over his future club.
Paul Pogba intends to play for France in the World Cup 2026
From four years to eighteen months, Paul Pogba's doping punishment has been lowered, therefore reigniting his dreams of returning to football and playing France in the World Cup 2026. Last seen over a year ago, the Juventus midfielder was temporarily banned by Italy's National Anti-Doping Agency (NADO Italia) in September 2023 after testing positive for DHEA, a medication that raises testosterone levels.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) just awarded him a ban reduction. Pogba claims to have unwittingly taken DHEA and should be back on the pitch with Juventus in March. In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, he said that while national coach Didier Deschamps has not excluded anybody from selection, he ultimately must work hard and grab any chances. Paul Pogba on his chance of returning to France said (via ESPN):
“The dream of the World Cup is there, but Deschamps hasn't opened the doors for anyone. It's up to me to open them he told me to work,”
Emphasising that his main objective is to go back on the field, Pogba stated his excitement to be returning to football in 2025. For now, he said, he remains a Juventus player and is even ready to give up financial incentives in order to return to the team. Paul Pogba added:
"I am ready to return to normal in 2025. I only have one desire, to play football. The reality is that I am a Juve player and I am preparing to play for Juve,"
"I don't have to speak, the pitch will speak and then (coach) Thiago Motta will judge with his own eyes, based on what he sees. I'm ready to give up even money to play for Juve again. I want to come back,"
"It was a very difficult year and what hurt the most was spending every day outside the stadium and (Juventus's training centre) Continassa taking my children to school without being able to go inside to train or play for Juventus,"
“Many past and current teammates have always supported me. (Juan) Cuadrado called me every other day and always made me laugh. (Paulo) Dybala sent me many messages. And then (Dusan) Vlahovic, (Weston) McKennie, (Timothy) Weah, (Moise) Kean... I didn't expect so many.”
