In the UEFA Super Cup final Real Madrid defeated Atalanta 2-0. The 59th-minute opener came from the Uruguayan Federico Valverde; Kylian Mbappé doubled the advantage in the 68th minute. Atalanta managed 7 shots with 2 on target, while Real Madrid controlled the game scoring 13 shots with 6 on target. Real Madrid also showed their control by keeping 52% possession. Two yellow cards apiece went to both teams. The game took place at Warsaw's National Stadium.

Kylian Mbappe, a major Cristiano Ronaldo admirer who is regarded as the best player of the storied club, made his debut wearing the No.9 shirt that Ronaldo wore in his first season with Real Madrid in 2009 when he left Manchester United to join the Spanish club. Both of these stars scored on their Real Madrid debuts, demonstrating their strong parallel time as this stands as the new era of football.

 Kylian Mbappe and the entire Real Madrid fanbase eagerly anticipated this moment, which finally materialised during his inaugural encounter for Real Madrid. Real Madrid held a 1-0 advantage in the Super Cup match against Atalanta after Valverde scored. In one of the key moments during the match, Vinicius Jr executed a wonderful run, but his attempt to pass the ball into the penalty area was thwarted. However, Jude Bellingham was present to rescue the ball. 

Bellingham gained possession and passed the ball back to Kylian Mbappe in the centre, who seized the opportunity to score a powerful goal. 

In a competitive encounter, the captain of France wore the renowned white shirt of the Spanish champions for the first time. He celebrated this momentous event by scoring the second goal in a 2-0 victory against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday.

Mbappé, who commenced and participated for 82 minutes at the National Stadium in Warsaw, connected with a ball from Jude Bellingham across the vicinity and executed a shot into the uppermost corner in the 68th minute.

Following his signature celebration of crossing both arms over his chest, he received congratulations from Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo, the other prominent players of Madrid's formidable attacking lineup that might potentially make a significant impact in European football in the upcoming season.

In the 59th minute, Federico Valverde scored by lightly touching the ball into the net after receiving a pass from Vinícius. This goal helped Real Madrid secure their sixth Super Cup triumph, which is a record in the history of the competition. The Super Cup is an annual meeting between the winners of the Champions League (Real Madrid) and the Europa League (Atalanta).
