Lionel Messi's son Thiago takes a corner kick

Since enrolling in the Heron's academy in August, Thiago has made multiple appearances for Inter Miami. Earlier in November, he was photographed wearing the same pink uniform as his father on his eleventh birthday, and now it is safe to say that his son wants to be like his father on more than one account. The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner has taken notice of his son's performances for the Herons; in September, the player was photographed attending an academy game.

The Inter Miami academy revealed on December 1st that they will participate in the biggest academy competition in the United States, MLS NEXT Fest 2023. Prior to their biggest showcase event of the year, Thiago and the Herons will compete against other academy teams locally in Florida.
