'Most special? You always say...': Cristiano Ronaldo Unveils His Most Special Champions League Title

Cristiano Ronaldo revealed his "most special" Champions League triumph during the 2024-25 UCL draw, a significant moment for the iconic footballer.

With UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin presenting the five-time Champions League champion with the Top Goal Scorer Award, Cristiano Ronaldo's legacy in the Champions League will live on always.  With 140 goals in 183 games, Cristiano Ronaldo leads the competition in goals scored. He is also the competitor with the most assists, with 42,cementing his as the greatest ever to play in the biggest club football competition.  In Monaco, Monte Carlo, during the Champions League 2024–25 league phase draw, UEFA paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo's legacy.

Cristiano Ronaldo reveals the most special Champions League triumph of his career 

Al-Nassr's captain and one of the greatest ever, Cristiano Ronaldo, said that his first UEFA Champions League triumph with Manchester United stands out as his most treasured experience in the competition. Considering his four Champions League victories with Real Madrid, the 39-year-old also considered that achievement as “remarkable.”

On Thursday, August 29, Ronaldo was in Monaco for the 2024-25 Champions League draw. The Portuguese striker expressed his ideas via @totalcristiano during the event:

“The most special? You always say the first, 2008, I scored but also missed a penalty (laughs). But of course the four I won with Real Madrid, it was unbelievable. Maybe I will play in the Champions League again, one day, you never know.”

With Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo won his first UEFA Champions League trophy in the 2007–08 season. With eight goals and one assist in 11 games, including a goal in the final match when United defeated Chelsea 6-5 on penalties, he had a big effect. Ronaldo also helped Manchester United's Premier League campaign that year to be successful, receiving his first Ballon d'Or in 2008.

When it comes to Cristiano Ronaldo, nothing is impossible. The legendary Real Madrid star has also made hints about maybe returning to the Champions League in the future.
