Real Madrid's trump card gets injured
One of the biggest names in Real Madrid's current starting XI and the man who has been entrusted with playmaking and goal-scoring duties- Vinicius Jr.- has unfortunately incurred an injury while rendering international duty towards Brazil.
After being hurt while on international duty, Real Madrid's Brazilian sensation Vinicius Junior sent out a powerful message. The forward limped out of the Selecao's FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying loss to Colombia, putting him in serious concern for next week's match against Argentina.

Brazil ranks fifth in the rankings, with seven points after five games. They fell 2-1 to Colombia on Thursday and maybe without Vinicius in their next game against Argentina.
Junior set up Gabriel Martinelli for an early goal, but Liverpool forward Luis Diaz scored a second-half brace to give Nestor Lorenzo's team the three points. Vinicius was replaced by Joao Pedro just before the half-hour mark.

Following the game, the Real Madrid attacker posted a message on Twitter promising to return stronger:

Vinicius has been dealing with thigh issues all season and has now experienced another discomfort in the same area. The 23-year-old is unlikely to play against Argentina on Tuesday (November 21), with Real Madrid monitoring the situation closely.
