France faced Netherlands on Saturday, October 14, 2023, in the UEFA Euro Qualifiers at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, Ajax. In a hard-fought battle, the French team prevailed with a great effort of a brace from their captain Kylian Mbappe. The score ended 2-1 and Hartman was the one to score for the Dutch team but it was not enough to secure a victory.

Kylian Mbappe scored an incredible goal
On Saturday, Kylian Mbappe scored his first goal in five games, helping France defeat Netherlands 2-1 in a Euro 2024 Group B qualifier. The World Cup Golden Boot winner made amends immediately by netting in the 7th minute of the encounter in Amsterdam after struggling to hit the net in his previous four games for Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe, who is 24 years old, used a dazzling volley to show off his extraordinary athleticism and capitalise on a cross from Jonathan Clauss. In just his 72nd senior international match, he scored his 41st goal for France.

Olivier Giroud (54), Thierry Henry (51), and Antoine Griezmann (44) are higher on the all-time list of top scorers for the France men's national team than Mbappe, who rose to joint fourth place with Michel Platini thanks to his incredible performance.
Mbappe cemented his place in the game on Friday by hitting an incredible goal outside the penalty area in the second half. He and Adrien Rabiot played a wonderful one-two before he fired a stunning 21-yard shot into the top corner of Bart Verbruggen's goal.

Even when Quilindschy Hartman gave the home team a late lead in the 84th minute, it was unable to stop France from winning, which guaranteed them a spot in the 2024 European Championship in Germany.

Throughout the qualifiers, France have played flawlessly, winning all six of their matches while scoring 13 goals and giving up only one. They are set to face Scotland on October 18, 2023.
