Does swearing on the mat give points to the raiders in a Kabaddi match?

Glimpse of a PKL match (Pro Kabaddi League)

During any Kabaddi match, it is very necessary for the raiders to touch the defender and return to their end. If the raider fails to do so in straight raids, he is considered out and the point is given to the opposition team. As per the Kabaddi rule book, a raider can do a total of two empty raids in which he can return to his end without touching any defender, while it becomes necessary for him to score a point after continuous two empty raids. The raid performed by the raider after two empty raids is considered a ‘do or die raid’. The raider has to touch the defender in the ‘do or die’ raid, otherwise, he is considered out.

The raider will never want to leave the court on a ‘do or die’ due to which they most often are seen swearing on the mat for a point. However, this rule is not a part of the Kabaddi rule book but by swearing on the mat they build psychological pressure on the referee, after which many times the benefit of the doubt goes to the raider and he is awarded a point.
