At the scheduled UFC 294 presser, UFC boss Dana White addressed the media along with the fighters of the co-main and main event. At the event, several queries were put in front of White and as the PPV will witness the debut of India's star MMA prospect Anshul Jubli, a question regarding India's potential in the sport was also raised.

Dana White rebuffs crowd reaction; excited about Indian talent in UFC
The question attracted jeers from the crowd, which did not land well with White. White respected the question that was brought forward by Sony's Shashwat Maheshwari and made it known that the UFC has been scouting talent from India. "Yeah, you know listen, you know that I've been looking all over the world for fighters, from every part of the world. Yeah, We've been excited about India, and looking for talent throughout India, Asia, everywhere else."
The UFC ruler also noted the reaction of the fans and contrary to what people in attendance might have liked, Dana White said that one day a UFC event will take place in India.

"What's wrong with India? What's everyone (explicit) on India for? We eventually want to go everywhere. Yes sir, we will come to India. We don't know when, we have no plan right now. But, you know I want to go everywhere."
