UFC CEO Dana White Announces Khamzat Chimaev's Return and Date For Ilia Topuria vs Max Holloway

On Saturday, UFC CEO Dana White brought to light the headliner fights of the UFC 308 Pay Per View event. The mega show will take place on October 26, 2024, at Fight Island, in Abu Dhabi. It will witness one of the most anticipated Featherweight fights in recent history, and will also mark the return of Khamzat Chimaev.

Dana White Announces UFC 308 Heaadline Fights

Ilia Topuria, who shocked the UFC world by knocking out Alexander Volkanovski, will contest to successfully defend his title against none other than Max Halloway. These two have been trading shots on the Internet and it will be intriguing to witness who will win the battle inside the Octagon. Topuria has lately KOed whoever has come in front of him, but against Holloway, it will be an uphill task as she has never been finished inside the 8-sided figure. So, it cannot get better than this. This fight represents the old saying i.e., Unstoppable force meets immovable object.

Aside from Topuria vs Holloway, Dana White announced the fight that was supposed to be in the books. Khamzat Chimaev will make his UFC return and will take on Middleweight veteran Robert Whittaker. Chimaev has been undefeated in the UFC, and a victory over Whittaker will get him what he wants i.e., a title shot. However, Whittaker has previously derained many potential challengers and Chimaev could also fall under the list. Thus, it is set to be an exciting contest.

The card will also feature a heavyweight rematch between Alexander Volkov and Ciryl Gane, as well as a light heavyweight bout between Magomed Ankalaev and Aleksandar Rakic.
