'I hope this night goes easy': Sakshi Malik Had Warned Vinesh Phogat a Night Before Her Final
Sakshi Malik, who won Bronze medal in Rio Olympics 2016, had disseminated the difficult weight cut nature a night before Vinesh Phogat's final.

Vinesh Phogat suffered heartbreak of immeasurable proportions when she got disqualified ahead of her gold medal match in 50kg Freestyle wrestling at the Paris Olympics. Phogat could not cut the excess weight on time and as a consequence, her dream of a podium finish at Olympics shattered. While what has transpired is extremely unfortunate on the part of Vinesh, she was wary about the rule. Bronze medalist wrestler from India, Sakshi Malik, had reiterated the daunting task, i.e., cutting weight a day prior to her fight.

Sakshi Malik Had Talked About The Tough Nature of Weight Cut
As a part of Jio Cinema's expert panel, Sakshi Malik stressed on the taxing process of cutting weight. Malik had stated that it would not be easy for Phogat to cut down weight and as it happened, the worst nightmare became a reality for Phogat.
"Before the gold medal tomorrow, this night is going to be crucial for Vinesh because she will have to lose weight for the weigh-in tomorrow, and it's not an easy thing for any wrestler," Malik stated. "She will have to work tonight for it, and it's never easy for any wrestler. I hope this night goes easy on her."

Vinesh Phogat had an absolute dream of a day on Tuesday at the Paris Olympics. She heroically defeated the Japanese defending gold medalist Yui Susaki in the final 10 seconds. Following that she had a seamless run in the quarterfinal and semi-final. The entire country was waiting to witness her final and was hoping to see her accept the Gold medal and sing the national anthem along. Phogat's disqualification has shattered the unanimous dream of millions.
