The Tokyo 2020 gold medalist registered a throw of 89.43 meters in his opening throw in Group B qualification, comfortably crossing the automatic qualifying mark of 84 meters and setting the stage for another potential gold medal performance.
As Neeraj leads the qualification phase in Group B, several formidable competitors stand in his path to gold. Among them are Germany's Julian Weber, Jakub Vadlejch of Czechia, and Anderson Peters of Grenada.
