The introduction of Breaking at the Olympics triggered a lot of questions and the event gave rise to a lot of mockery. breakdancing was formally brought into the Paris Olympics, giving the chance to the breakers to showcase their potential. But Rachael Gunn, aka Raygun's performance set off several memes and reactions globally. The Australian Breaker has finally spoken out over the hate and has asked everyone to not harass her family and kin.

Paris Olympics breaker Raygun speaks out over the social media outrage
After receiving a lot of backlash over social media, Rachael 'Raygun' Green took to social media and broke her silence. The B-Girl appreciated the support and positivity, but she revealed that the hate she had been receiving was devastating for her. Gunn added that she worked hard to prepare for the quadrennial event and was honoured to be a part of breaking's debut in the Olympics.
"Hi everyone, Raygun here. I just want to start by thanking all the people who have supported me, I really appreciate the positivity and I'm glad I was able to bring some joy into your lives, that's what I hoped.

"I didn't realize that that would also open the door to so much hate, which has frankly been pretty devastating. While I went out there and I had fun, I did take it very seriously. I worked my butt off preparing for the Olympics and I gave my all, truly. I'm honored to have been a part of the Australian Olympic team and to be part of breaking's Olympic debut. What the other athletes have achieved has just been phenomenal," Breakdancer Rachael Gunn said in a video on the social media platform Instagram.

Raygun became a sensation all over social media after her breaking routing garnered attention, which set off several memes and ridicule. The 36-year-old Australian B-Girl lost all of her matches in the Paris Olympics and is yet to return down under as she is having some downtime in Europe. Gunn has also asked everyone to stop the harassment over her family, kin, and the Australian breaking community.
