India has received another huge blow at the Paris Olympics as two time Olympic medalist and searching her third consecutive Olympic medal for India crashed out in Round of 16 with loss to China's He Bing Jiao in Round of 16.

How PV Sindhu lost to He Bing Jiao

It started in the worst possible manner for PV Sindhu in her bid to win a third consecutive Olympic medal for India. In Game 1, the 2016 Olympic silver medalist found herself down 5-1 in the game. However, PV Sindhu showed amazing resilience and closed in on the game and soon both the shuttlers were level with each other at 12-12.

It was a complete back and forth encounter and tied at 19-19.  But then, He Bing Jiao simply got it together and won the next 2 points to take a thrilling Game 1, 21-19.

India's disappointing day for Badminton

As PV Sindhu got knocked out of Olympics it marked the end of a disappointing day for India's badminton contingent.

It all started with Satwik-Chirag, India's one of the best hopes to win an Olympic medal losing to Malaysia in the Quarterfinals of Men's Doubles. Followed up with HS Prannoy's exit in Round of 16 and then PV Sindhu's exit.

India's only hope in Badminton now is Lakshya Sen who advanced to Quartefinal after beating countryman HS Prannoy in Pre-Quarters.
