After Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh made the nation proud, Swapnil Kusale absolutely delivered in his maiden Olympics appearance as he clinched a bronze medal in the Men's 50m Rifle 3 Position Event. Born in Pune, Maharashtra, on April 06, 1995, Swapnil Kusale hails from a family which has a background in agriculture. Kusale's journey in shooting began when his father enrolled him into Maharashtra's sports program, Krida Prabhodini. He decided to focus on shooting after a year of rigorous training. His talent and effort were quickly acknowledged, and he accomplished a great deal in the shooting community.
Swapnil Kusale defeated renowned shooters like Gagan Narang when he won the 59th National Shooting Championship in Tughlakabad. He also clinched gold in the 50m rifle prone 3 event at the 2015 Asian Shooting Championships in Kuwait. Kusale's gold spree continued in Trivandrum at the 1st National Championship by securing another gold in the 50m rifle 3-position event.
Swapnil qualified for the Olympics for India after
finishing fourth at the 2022 World Championship in Cairo. Be it the two silver medals and a gold in multiple events at the 2023 Baku World Cup or the gold in a team event in the 2022 Asian Games. Kusale has never disappointed in each of his outings.

In the Men's 50m Rifle Three Positions competition, Swapnil Kusale of India won the bronze medal thanks to a stunning display of accuracy and skill. In the face of fierce competition, Kusale demonstrated exceptional marksmanship, placing third on the podium with a 451.4 point total. Y.K. Liu of China took first place with 463.6 points, while S. Kulish of Ukraine took second place with 461.3 points. Kusale's outstanding accomplishment not only brought pride to India but also validated his status as a top competitor globally by showcasing his skill in the shooting sports. It is noteworthy that India won its third medal in the shooting competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
