WWE news: Fans go wild as The Rock drops huge statement on in-ring return after WWE comeback

The first RAW of 2024 had a colossal surprise in store as a former WWE Champion was supposed to return. To everyone's surprise, it turned out to be Jinder Mahal, and the fans were left unhappy. But Triple H had a bigger surprise in store as The Rock made his return to the Red Brand. It looks like the Brahma Bull's appearance will not be a one-off thing.

The Rock hints at more WWE appearances, a feud with Roman Reigns possible

The Rock's appearance at RAW Day 1 may not be just a one-off thing, as the Brahma Bull has offered a big hint that he wants to go after The Head of the Table, the Undisputed Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. A feud among both Anoa'i family members is something that is said to be a dream match, and the fans have been rooting for it for a long time. 

Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) took to Instagram to express his delight at being a WWE superstar and wrestling in the squared circle. He also suggested that this is just the beginning of all things. The People's Champion wrote on Instagram and said:

'It all hits differently. The theme, the crowd, the connection, the reaction, the electricity, the chills - the mana. Helluva way to bring in 2024. Grateful, blessed & inspired to forever be, the People’s Champ. We’re just getting started.'

Where could the Roman Reigns vs The Rock Dream match take place?

Given that a Rock vs Reigns match has the calibre to draw the audience in huge numbers, the WWE could have a big event in mind. The Connecticut-based wrestling promotion has a bunch of international PLEs lined up. WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia could also be a venue, but they might stick with the big guns like CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins for their biggest spectacle. Since the Elimination Chamber in Australia will be a stadium show, there is a chance that the dream match could happen there. But it is subject to witness on whether the WWE will run the storyline or not.
