Apple's Vision Pro has begun selling in Dubai as part of the company's latest expansion strategy to bring its mixed reality headset available in major markets. Launched in February earlier this year, the Vision Pro can be purchased from physical Apple Store locations in Dubai -- a favourite shopping location for Indians, especially for Apple products.

That means Indians willing to own the Vision Pro can visit an Apple Store in Dubai, as well as other cities in the United Arab Emirates, to buy it. Since the UAE is now an eligible market for the Vision Pro, Apple's mixed reality headset will work as long as the customer stays there. However, travelling back to India with the Vision Pro could hamper the experience.

For instance, the Vision Pro will not work with the Indian App Store, and even if the customer changes the region to a supported market, Apple has geographical restrictions on the hardware. According to Apple Community posts, visionOS is baked around English for supported regions, so functionalities such as Siri and Dictation may not work. Users may not be able to make purchases on Apple Music, Apple TV, and other native apps due to restrictions. Apple Support for Vision Pro is also not present in India currently. Still, Vision Pro will offer some functionalities that do not need geographical verification to work.

The Apple Vision Pro in the UAE costs AED 13,999, which is roughly Rs 3,21,970, so Indians may have to spend a fortune on the headset. The expansion also includes South Korea, where the Vision Pro sells for KRW 4,990,000 (about Rs 3,02,045). With the launch in the UAE and South Korea, the total number of markets with Apple Vision Pro availability goes up to 12, including the US, the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan.
