Google is bringing new artificial intelligence (AI) powered features to Search. These new features will enable users to ask queries and look for information using voice and video-based queries. Additionally, these features will also help users get more relevant results for their queries.

Voice-based search in Google Lens

Google today announced that now users will be able to look for information using voice-based commands via Google Lens. "Just point your camera, hold the shutter button and ask whatever’s on your mind — the same way you’d point at something and ask your friend about it," the company wrote in a post.

Google says that voice input feature for Lens is available globally in the Google app on Android and iOS. However, this feature supports queries in English only.

Video-based search in Google Lens

Another important that Google is rolling out to Search is support for video-based queries in Lens. With this feature, users will be able to ask questions by recording a video. "Open Lens in the Google app and hold down the shutter button to record while asking your question out loud," Google wrote in a blog post.

"Our systems will make sense of the video and your question together to produce an AI Overview, along with helpful resources from across the web," the company added.

AI-organised search result pages

Lastly, the company is rolling out search result pages that have been organised by AI. This feature was announced earlier this year and now Google has started rolling out this feature to its users in the US.

“You’ll now see a full-page experience, with relevant results organized just for you. You can easily explore content and perspectives from across the web including articles, videos, forums and more,” the company added.

Lastly, Google announced that it is rolling a redesigned AI Overviews feature to its users globally. The redesigned feature will add 'prominent links to supporting webpages directly within the text of an AI Overview'.
