How to transfer WhatsApp data from iPhone to Android phone

Step 1: Download the latest version of WhatsApp on the iPhone and the Android phone.

Step 2: Set up the new Android phone and choose to restore data when prompted.

Step 3: Connect the Android phone and iPhone with a cable when the Copy apps and data screen appears.

Step 4: Tap Trust button if the iPhone warning appears.

Step 5: Proceed through copying screens while keeping the iPhone unlocked during transfer.

Step 6: Use the iPhone camera to scan a QR code when prompted and then tap the Start button.

Step 7: When the data transfer process is finished, disconnect the cable.

Step 8: Open WhatsApp on Android smartphone.

Step 9: Verify the WhatsApp account using the same phone number used on the old iPhone.

Step 10: Tap Start when prompted to import your chat history.
