Elon Musk hails Donald Trump's victory in US Presidential Election 2024

Donald Trump 's historic victory in the 2024 US Presidential Elections to become America's 47th President has received applause from the who's who of the technology sector. Elon Musk, who has been vouching for Trump since the former President announced his candidacy and campaigning for him, has hailed the results and the American citizens for choosing the Republican candidate over his opponent Kamala Harris from the Democratic Party.

"The people of America gave @realDonaldTrump a crystal clear mandate for change tonight," Musk said in a post on X after Trump showed a major lead in results. The world's richest man spent the election night with Trump in Florida at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

Musk's posts related to Trump went beyond extending greetings to the president-elect candidate. In one of his later posts, Tesla CEO shared a doctored photo of him holding a wash sink inside what appears to be the White House. "Let that sink in," he wrote referring to the unexpected sway in favour of Trump, despite criticism. Musk, who has time and again said that Trump will be a better President for the US than Harris, reiterated that Americans voted for “free speech.” Musk said, “Yes” to one of user's posts that reads: “Free speech won this election, and this election will save free speech.”
