Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch with military-grade durability launched in India

Amazfit T-Rex 3 has arrived in India over a month after its international debut at the IFA 2024 in Berlin. The new T-Rex 3 is a rugged smartwatch, which the company claims can endure extreme temperatures and environmental conditions at 70 degrees and -30 degrees Celsius, thanks to the MIL-STD-810G certification. The smartwatch can also survive under water up to 100 metres with 10ATM water resistance, but there is no IP rating.

The T-Rex 3 costs Rs 19,999 and comes in Onyx and Lava colour options. It will be available from September 27 from Amazfit’s online store and Amazon .

Amazfit T-Rex 3 specifications

With an octagonal bezel for a unique look, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 boasts a 1.5-inch colour display with a 480x480-pixel resolution, 322 PPI pixel density, and a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. The display uses Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. Amazfit has upgraded the design to include stainless steel on the bezel and polymer on the middle frame. While the company did not specify the processor on the smartwatch, it claimed the T-Rex 3 is capable of satellite positioning and can measure blood-oxygen level through a BioTracker PPG biometric sensor. The smartwatch can also measure heart rate, SpO2, stress, and sleep. It has breathing-centric tools and a menstrual cycle tracker, along with health reminders. Powered by Zepp OS 4, the smartwatch lets users control it using voice through Zepp Flow.

The Amazfit T-Rex 3 has an acceleration sensor, a gyroscope, a barometric altimeter, an ambient light sensor, a temperature sensor, and a geomagnetic sensor. It is supported on devices running Android 7.0 or later and iOS 14.0 or later through the dedicated app. The T-Rex 3 supports advanced maps and navigation, including offline maps, turn-by-turn and precise navigation. It has 26GB of internal storage, letting users store music files and location data locally. The Amazfit T-Rex 3 packs a 700mAh battery that lasts up to 27 days with normal usage and 13 days with heavy usage. Amazfit claims the T-Rex 3 can last up to 40 days on battery saver mode.
