Apple likely to launch M4 MacBook Pro, iPad Mini, more on November 1: Report

Apple launched the iPhone 16 series along with Apple Watch Series 10 last month. It also updated its AirPods by launching the AirPods Pro 2, AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with ANC at its fall event. Now, reports suggest that the company is gearing for another launch event wherein the company will introduce updates to its Mac, MacBook and iPad lineups.

According to a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is expected to launch at least six new devices on November 1. The list included a low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro with the company's new M4 chip, a high-end 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4 chip, a high-end 16-inch MacBook Pro with M4 chip, refreshed Mac Mini lineup with M4 and M4 Pro chips, a new iMac with M4 chip and a new iPad Mini.

As far as the details are concerned, reports suggest that Apple is expected to ship at least 16GB of RAM in its new M4-chip powered Macs, including the low-end M4 MacBook Pro and the Mac Mini. This upgraded RAM will also help support Apple Intelligence-based features that will arrive with arrive on all supported Mac models with macOS Sequoia 15.1 update. It will also help in making memory-intensive tasks smoother.

Apple is likely to roll out major updates to Mac Mini as well. It will not only be a bit more compact in size compared to the existing model, but it will also support USB Type-A port along with additional USB Type-C ports.

As far as the launch date is concerned, Gurman suggests that Apple 's new devices could launch on November 1. However, separate reports indicate that the launch could happen towards the end of this month with the sales beginning on November 1.

Lastly, Gurman, in his newsletter mentioned that Apple is expected to more devices in the first half of 2025. The list includes 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with M4 chip, new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air, new AirTags and a new Magic Keyboard with support for the updated iPad Air.
