Lava O3 launched with bloat-free software, AI cameras
The new entry-level smartphone from Lava, Lava O3, also has a glossy back and a waterdrop-style notch on the display.
Lava O3 is the latest smartphone from the homegrown smartphone company in the entry-level market. The O3 is the successor to the O2 and comes with modest specifications, such as 4GB of RAM. However, its bloat-free software based on Android 14 (Go edition) and cameras driven by artificial intelligence (AI) stand out. The new entry-level smartphone also has a glossy back and a waterdrop-style notch on the display.
Lava O3 price in India
The new Lava O3 costs Rs 6,199 but customers can get it for as low as Rs 5,579 after applying discount offers and deals. The smartphone is available in a single Glossy Black, Glossy White, and Glossy Lavender colours from Amazon and Lava’s online store. The company has not said whether the O3 will be available offline. Lava has also promised to offer free home service to O3 users for three years across the country.
Lava O3 specifications
Featuring support for dual nano SIM cards, the Lava O3 boasts a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Powering the smartphone is an octa-core Unisoc 9863A processor, paired with 4GB of RAM. However, Lava claims customers can increase the RAM capacity on the Lava O3 through the virtual expansion feature. The smartphone has 64GB of internal storage, but it can be expanded through a microSD card. The Lava O3 has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The company said its smartphone is equipped with features such as AI, HDR, and Panorama. Its 5000mAh battery supports 10W charging through the bundled power adapter. Lava’s new phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. But users can also go for face scan functionality to unlock the phone.
