Redmi has announced it will unveil the Note 14 Pro series on September 26, following several teasers that confirm the key specifications of the marquee phone, Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus. The other phone in the series will be the Redmi Note 14 Pro, which will likely have slightly less powerful specifications than the Plus model. Redmi is holding the event in China, so while the initial launch will be exclusive to the home market, the company may expand the series’ availability to more countries in the future.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus will differ in design and specifications. While the standard model has a coloured camera island, the Plus variant will come with a glass back. Redmi has also confirmed the series will be IP68 and IP69K certified for waterproofing and resistance against dust. Both phones will be able to endure even water jet sprays and extreme temperatures for overall protection. Redmi is also equipping the phones with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top of their displays.

Redmi has yet to confirm the processor and battery charging details, which it will do, based on records, to build the hype. The launch is still a few days away, giving Redmi ample time to share more details, such as what the cameras on the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus would be like.

The upcoming Redmi Note 14 Pro series will also succeed the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, launched in India earlier this year. The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, which is still available, has a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1800 nits. Powering the smartphone is an octa-core Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 platform, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone also has a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilisation and 4K video recording capabilities.
