Samsung Galaxy M55s with 50MP triple cameras launched
Samsung's new Galaxy M55s is a successor to the Galaxy M55, launched last year, but uses the same Snapdragon processor as the Galaxy M55.
Samsung has launched Galaxy M55s, its new smartphone with a triple camera system on its back and support for optical image stabilisation for under Rs 20,000. The new Galaxy M55s is the successor to the Galaxy M55 5G, which debuted last year but does not have major upgrades. For instance, the Galaxy M55s uses the same Snapdragon processor as the Galaxy M55, while their battery capacities and charging capabilities are similar.
Samsung Galaxy M55s price in India
The price of the Galaxy M55s starts at Rs 19,999 for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While two more variants have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of memory, Samsung has not revealed the prices. The company said the Galaxy M55s will be available from September 26 through Amazon , Samsung’s online store, and Samsung Exclusive Stores. Offline buyers can also visit partner retail stores across India to purchase the Galaxy M55s. The launch offer includes a Rs 2,000 instant discount on SBI credit cards, but it will be available for a limited time.
Samsung Galaxy M55s specifications
Featuring support for dual nano-sized SIM cards, the Samsung Galaxy M55s boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Powering the smartphone is an octa-core Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, paired with Adreno 644 GPU. The Galaxy M55s has up to 12GB of RAM, along with support to expand the capacity virtually through Samsung RAM Plus. Users can also expand the storage through a microSD card. Based on Android 14, the phone runs OneUI 6.1. The Samsung Galaxy M55s has stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
On the back, the Samsung Galaxy M55s has a 50MP main camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps. Its selfie camera uses a 50MP sensor. The Samsung Galaxy M55s has a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging support. Samsung said its new smartphone supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 for better wireless connectivity.
