Tecno Pop 9 5G India launch: Tecno today launched a new budget 5G smartphone in India. The newly launched Tecno Pop 9 5G is the successor to the Tecno Pop 8 that arrived in India last year. It competes with the likes of the Redmi 13C 5G, the Poco M6 5G and the Infinix Hot 5G in the country.

Tecno Pop 9 5G India price and availability

The Tecno Pop 9 5G comes in two storage variants in India. The base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space is priced at Rs 8,499, while the top variant of the device with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space costs Rs 8,499.

It will be available for purchase on Amazon starting October 7 in Midnight Shadow, Azure Sky, and Aurora Cloud colour variants.

Tecno Pop 9 5G top features  

Coming to the features, the Tecno Pop 9 5G comes with a 6.6-inch LCD HD+ display with a screen refresh rate of 120Hz. It also comes with IP54 dust and water-resistant coating.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 system-on-chip (SoC) that is coupled with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage space. The Tecno Pop 9 5G also comes with a microSD slot that can expand the storage space by up to 1TB.

It runs Android 14-based HiOS 14, and it is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging technology. Additionally, the Tecno Pop 9 5G features support for NFC technology.

On the camera front, the Tecno Pop 9 5G features a 48MP lens at the back with Sony's IMX582 sensor and LED flash. On the front, the Tecno Pop 9 5G has an 8MP front-facing camera.
