Vivo Y28s now cheaper by Rs 500, here’s its new price

The Y28s boasts a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 480 nits, and is powered by a MediaTek processor.

Vivo has slashed the price of the Y28s, its budget smartphone that was launched in July. The smartphone with a waterdrop-style notch on the display, support for virtual RAM, and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance is now Rs 500 cheaper. The starting price of the Vivo Y28s is Rs 13,499 now instead of the launch price of Rs 13,999. The other two storage variants of the Vivo Y28s have also become more affordable with the latest price cut.

The variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is now priced at Rs 13,499 instead of the original price of Rs 13,999. The model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of memory now costs Rs 14,999 instead of Rs 15,499, while the version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage now costs Rs 16,499 as opposed to the listed price of Rs 16,999. The new prices are now updated across online websites, including Vivo’s store.

The Y28s boasts a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 480 nits. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone also supports expandable storage via a microSD card. On the back of the phone, there is a 50MP main sensor with an F1.8 aperture and a 2MP portrait sensor with an F2.4 aperture. Its selfie camera uses an 8MP sensor. The smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Vivo Y28s uses a 5000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging using a bundled charger. It has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. The smartphone runs Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14.
