If you are a Samsung Galaxy S9/S9 Plus user in the US, then do check for the much-expected but delayed rollout of Android Pie OS update that comes with the Samsung One UI. Do check for new notifications, at this juncture, representing the newer firmware.

Now, as per a Verge report, Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus users may have to wait with the latest update rollout being a phased one. If you have subscribed to major wireless carriers in the US, do check your Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, and even Galaxy Note 9 handsets for newer OTA notifications that could just represent the newer Android Pie OS update.

You could also manually check your handsets, for the newer firmware, by navigating to Settings > Updates > Check For Updates; within your phones.

The biggest USP of the latest rollout is obviously the One UI that makes in-phone navigation practically better whilst offering newer UI experiences. Also, the timing of the above-reported rollout almost coincides with that of the February 20 Unpacked event which Samsung has scheduled in San Francisco. This event is hugely expected by Samsung loyalists, and the general consumer technology community in general, to witness the official showcasing of the next-gen Galaxy S10 (variants).

Hence, it may not be an exaggeration to believe that Samsung might have actually started updating the current-gen Galaxy S9, S9 Plus smartphones with the newer firmware before it launches the next-gen smartphones on February 20. Do share your thoughts here regarding Samsung’s smartphones and the One UI in case you have managed to check it out.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the S9 Plus receive reasonable price cuts and were available to buy at discounted prices in India. These price cuts were effected by major Indian etailers viz Flipkart and Amazon. The South Korea-based brand also launched its mid-range offerings in India that are affordably priced; at Rs 7990 and Rs 11000 - with their nomenclatures being Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 respectively.
