iPhone 16 Sells at Up to ₹7,000 Discount on Amazon

iPhone 16, launched in September as Apple's most affordable smartphone to support Apple Intelligence, is currently selling at a discounted price. Amazon customers can buy the iPhone 16 with a discount of as much as ₹7,000, bringing the price down to ₹72,900. That is the lowest price customers can get on Apple's marquee iPhone of 2024.

Amazon has listed the iPhone 16 at a flat discount of ₹2,000, meaning customers can pick the device for ₹77,900 without needing anything else to shave off the price. However, there are ways customers can bring the cost down further. According to the listing on the shopping website, customers can use a State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, and Kotak Bank credit card for payment to receive an instant discount of ₹5,000 on the final price. However, customers must note that this discount will apply to payments made in one go. For customers willing to pay in instalments, Amazon will offer up to ₹5,000 to holders of the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank card.

After the discount, the iPhone 16 will effectively cost ₹72,900, which is a total of ₹7,000 less than the original price of ₹79,900.

Launched in September, the iPhone 16 comes with support for Apple Intelligence. Customers can interact with the redesigned Siri, use AI to improve the writing and composition of messages and texts, edit photos to remove unwanted objects or people, and use the Notes app in new ways.

Beyond its AI capabilities, the iPhone 16 features the new A18 chip, built on a 3nm process to deliver faster performance and enhanced power efficiency. It has 8GB of RAM, up from iPhone 15's 6GB. Apple claims that the iPhone 16 can load graphics-intensive apps and games more quickly, while also allowing for better multitasking. The device is equipped with a 48MP Fusion Camera that offers improved HDR and low-light performance. It also includes a 12MP ultrawide camera that doubles as a macro sensor, along with a 12MP front camera capable of recording Dolby Vision videos in 4K at 60fps.

The iPhone 16 boasts a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display that supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. It is available with storage options of up to 512GB.
