Jio 8th anniversary offer announced in India: Check plans and benefits

Jio is celebrating its eighth anniversary in India today. As a part of the celebrations, the telecom operator has announced a host of benefits for its prepaid subscribers in the country. Jio today said that it will be offering benefits worth Rs 700 on prepaid recharges made between September 5 and September 7. These benefits will be offered beyond the benefits that the company is offering on its prepaid plans.

But there is a catch. Jio is not offering its 8th anniversary benefits on all of its prepaid plans. Instead, the company is offering these benefits on the purchase of plans worth Rs 899, Rs 999 and Rs 3,599.

As far as the benefits are concerned, Jio said that it will be offering access to a total of 10 OTT plans to its prepaid subscribers who opt for these plans. In addition to that, the company will offer 10GB of extra data that will come with a validity of 28 days. Beyond these, Jio is offering three months of Zomato Gold membership and discount worth Rs 500 on purchases above Rs 2,999 at Ajio.

As Jio rolls out its 8th anniversary offer, here are the benefits offered by the plans eligible for the offer:

Jio Rs 899 prepaid plan benefits

Reliance Jio's Rs 899 prepaid plan comes with a validity of 90 days (roughly three months), and it offers 2GB of data per day along with 20GB of additional data. In total, subscribers get 200GB of data in the time period this plan is valid up to. However, with the Jio 8th anniversary offer, prepaid subscribers will get a total of 210GB of data.

Jio Rs 999 prepaid plan benefits

Reliance Jio's Rs 999 prepaid recharge plan comes with a validity of 98 days. It offers 2GB of high-speed data to the subscribers, which totals to 196GB of data. In total this plan offers 196GB of data in a time period of roughly four months. With the Jio anniversary offer, subscribers will get a total of 206GB of data.

Jio Rs 3,599 prepaid plan benefits

Lastly, Reliance Jio's Rs 3,599 prepaid plan comes with a validity of 365 days and it offers 2.5GB of data per day, which totals to 912.5GB of data in a year. However, with the Jio 8th anniversary offer, subscribers will get 922.5GB of data in a year.

It is worth noting that all these plans offer 5G connectivity along with unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and free subscriptions for JioTV, JioCinema and JioCloud.
