X Is Down, Thousands of Users Report Login Issues, Problem With App

Microblogging platform X, formerly Twitter, is down as thousands of users have reported issues with login and App.

New Delhi: Microblogging platform X, formerly Twitter, is down as thousands of users have reported issues with login and App. According to Downdetector, the outage was first reported at around 5:47 PM today and peaked around 6:30 PM when over 2000 users reported issues with the social media platform. 

 

Further according to the Downdetector, users from several cities including Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Agra, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Cuttack, Patna, Agra, and Guwahati have reported issues while using the microblogging platform.

The outage on X, which earlier peaked at around 6:17 PM, escalated further as more users from across the country and world reported issues while using the social media site. 

 

47 per cent users reported issues with X App, 33 per cent of them reported login issues while 20 per cent of them faced problem with the website.

As the outage continued, after a while, more 25,699 users reported issues with the platform in the United States. Of these, 68 per cent faced trouble logging in, 24 per cent experienced problems with the app, and 8 per cent reported issues with the website. 

The website tracking tool showed that in Canada, more than 2,230 users reported issues with the platform on Saturday evening.

This is second time in two days when Twitter faced massive global outage as users reported multiple issues on the social media platform like accessing the feeds, putting out tweets, sending direct messages among others.

On Friday, X acknowledged the outage on its platform and issued a statement saying, “X is aware some of our users are experiencing performance issues on the platform today. We are experiencing a data centre outage and the team is actively working to remediate the issue.”
