Calculating Goods and Services Tax (GST) can be quite confusing. Japanese electronics company Casio has announced two new GST calculators in India. These two devices bear the model numbers MJ-12GST and MJ-120GST and cost Rs 378 and Rs 475, respectively. Both these calculators are up for grabs at all leading stationary stores across the country.

Casio, in a press release, explained some of the key features of its two new GST calculators for India. It includes an in-built GST tab, unlike the traditional calculators. It can calculate the GST based on different percentage values: 0 per cent, 5 per cent, 12 per cent, 18 per cent and 28 per cent.

Separate buttons for each one of them will reduce the number of clicks, further reducing the time required to calculate the GST. Separate buttons store gross value (net value + tax), net value and tax paid under different slabs. As a result, users don’t have to keep on recalculating the values. Commenting on the launch, Casio India's vice president Kulbhushan Seth, had this to say:

“As market leaders in the calculators’ category, Casio India is committed to making meaningful innovations that help its customers day in and day out. We are proud to announce the launch of the World’s first GST calculator. CASIO GST calculator’s features bring a refreshing touch to the whole calculator’s category. It will make manual invoicing easy and hassle-free.”

Casio, as a brand, is known for offering consumer products across a wide range of categories. In the Indian market, Casio ships its own watches, electronic musical instruments, calculators, projectors, label printers, digital cameras and more.
