The OnePlus 7 could be a slider all-screen and no-bezel phone like the Oppo Find X, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 or the Honor Magic 2. The OnePlus 7 has leaked for the first time courtesy a photo that apparently shows off OnePlus’ alleged OnePlus 6T successor in almost its full glory. We can’t confirm the authenticity of the leak but it does paint an interesting picture of what could be in store from Oneplus, come May/June when it unwraps the OnePlus 7.

As original as OnePlus devices are, they do tend to take some inspiration from OnePlus’ sister brands, aka Oppo and Vivo, when it comes to industrial design. At least, all the recent OnePlus devices have done that. Also, OnePlus is seemingly on a mission to make the ultimate all-screen OnePlus device: the Oneplus 5T came with slim bezels, the OnePlus 6 came with an iPhone X-style notch and the recent OnePlus 6T came with a waterdrop-style notch for even more screen real estate. Now both Oppo and Vivo haven’t succumbed to the punch-hole display design, but there is a certain Oppo Find X, that comes with a slider design. It is quite plausible that the OnePlus 7 may follow suit.

The leaked photo shows off the alleged OnePlus 7 placed next to what seems to be the OnePlus 6T for comparison purposes. The OnePlus 7, as per the image, does not have a forehead but the same cannot be said about its chin because that part of the device is not seen in it. But because the OnePlus 6T already has a barely-there bottom, chances are the OnePlus 7 may not be far behind as well. The OnePlus 7, as per the image, further does not have a front-facing camera (regular or punch-hole) but the speaker grille juts out from the top. It is broader than the speaker grille found on the OnePlus 6T. All of this goes on to to suggest the OnePlus 7 could be a slider phone although it isn’t known if it would follow a motorized setup like the one on the Oppo Find X or a manual setup like on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and Honor Magic 2.

Another thing that really stands out is a coloured alert slider which is different from the one found on the OnePlus 6T. This is like the coloured power button found on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

Hardware specifics of the OnePlus 7 are not known yet but it is expected that it would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor possibly with up to 8GB of RAM, alongside warp charge that made its debut with the OnePlus 6T Mclaren edition. OnePlus is also set to be one of the first companies to jump on-board the 5G bandwagon, which means the OnePlus 7 may additionally have a 5G-ready variant for select markets.
