OnePlus inks new partnership with Redington, for more offline stores

OnePlus, has announced a partnership with Redington India, to offer customized offline services via stores. There would be at least 100 new OnePlus stores.

OnePlus has announced a partnership with Redington India, in a bid to offer customized offline services via stores. The former believes that, with this partnership, customers would be able to potentially experience newer OnePlus devices at comparatively more brick-and-mortar stores across India. On its part, Redington offers distribution presence pan-India, in the IT and Mobility Distribution spheres.

Redington also currently serves as a key distribution partner to other premium tech brands such as Apple and Google for the Indian market. The partnership with OnePlus is believed, by both the companies to boost the latter’s presence especially in cities such as Chandigarh, Agra, Lucknow, Patna and Ludhiana. Then, regions such as Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Jaipur, Indore, Raipur and Bhopal are also expected to get benefitted with the new partnership.  
 
Announcing this partnership, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager at OnePlus India stated, “As India continues to be a significant market for us, we look to partner with the best of market players who share a similar global vision like us to bring top-notch international quality of service to our customers across the nation. Therefore, we are excited to partner with Redington (India) Limited in an effort to bring the best of our premium product experience to our offline based customers throughout India.” 

Similarly, Ramesh Natarajan, JCOO at Redington added, “India has overtaken the United States to emerge as the second-largest market for smartphones and it is no doubt that the market is brimming with opportunity. Our distribution expertise, in a complex and diverse market like India, provides necessary ammunition to lend further creation of value to a fast-growing brand like OnePlus. Redington, is delighted in partnering with OnePlus for distribution of OnePlus Mobility range of products. With our distribution expertise and OnePlus brand recall, we aim to strengthen the offline presence for OnePlus in the best possible manner, resulting in OnePlus becoming a mainstream product for the masses.” 
 
With the partnership, OnePlus is targeting at least 100 new OnePlus Experience stores across 50 Indian cities. This is by 2020. There would be a special focus on tier-2 cities as well. As of now, OnePlus is already present in over 2000 offline retail stores, including partner stores as well, across several regions in India.
