It’s official. OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 7T (and possibly also the OnePlus 7T Pro) with what could be a segment first 90Hz display in India on September 26. The launch event will also be livestreamed online on OnePlus.com and on OnePlus Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube accounts for the US – meaning OnePlus will also launch the OnePlus 7T (and possibly also the OnePlus 7T Pro) simultaneously for the US market on September 26. OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 7T series in London on October 10 in a separate event. 

Tickets for the keynote events in New Delhi and London will go on sale on Oneplus.in starting September 20 at 10 am IST - as is usually the case, the tickets will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro incoming

One of the key USPs of the OnePlus 7 Pro, launched alongside the OnePlus 7 earlier in the year, was its 90Hz 2K AMOLED screen. The OnePlus 7 meanwhile had to make do with a 1080p+ AMOLED with the usual 60Hz refresh rate. That OnePlus maybe looking to bring a 90Hz display to the OnePlus 7T has been doing the rounds of rumor mills for some time now – only now, OnePlus has come up and officially confirmed that the OnePlus 7T will indeed ship with such a display. Chances are, this would make the OnePlus 7T, a first of its kind phone at its price point – although, with the addition, chances are we may see pricing go up too, in comparison to the OnePlus 7. 

Basis of rumored specs, it seems OnePlus will be looking to make the OnePlus 7T a lot more compelling than the OnePlus 7 – at the same time, the move to make 90Hz a mainstream affair may irk some buyers who may have invested in a more expensive OnePlus 7 Pro, just for that buttery smooth 90Hz refresh rate. 

OnePlus TV also coming

Elsewhere, OnePlus is also expected to launch its first smart TV, the OnePlus TV, alongside the OnePlus 7T on September 26.
