Oppo’s presence at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019) presence could potentially become the cynosure of all eyes considering the fact that Chinese smartphone maker would officially showcase 10X lossless zoom technology within the cameras of its smartphones. As of now, 5X hybrid zoom is the standard as far as smartphone snappers are concerned.

Oppo, during MWC 2019, would officially showcase (and demo) the 10X lossless zoom technology within smartphones that may or may not go into commercial mass production soon. The technology would be incorporated within triple camera smartphones; these cameras would be a combination of "Ultra Wide Angle + Ultra Clear Master + Telephoto cameras.

With this announcement, rumours which had speculated about Oppo showcasing the 10X zoom technology have now seemingly been proved right. Hence, it is now only a matter of time with countdown having already begun to the MWC 2019 that takes place at Barcelona in Spain on February 23. Oppo has an exclusive event on February 23 from 14:00 to 15:30 hrs Barcelona time where the 10X lossless zoom camera technology (within smartphones) would be showcased.

Here, USP of a 10X lossless zoom camera would undoubtedly be the ability to comparatively effectively capture objects/subjects at longer distances; through effective zoom. Also, Oppo would deploy the dual optical image stabilization over the telephoto and wide angle cameras.

With this set to be showcased at MC 2019, the technology naturally gets minds working with respect to the Apple iPhone series coming under intense competition from Oppo’s 10X zoom cameras in case these go official commercially. At this juncture, it is worth noting that iPhones have for long been known as a photographer’s tool by the vast majority of users considering the fact that the smartphones (their cameras) render comparatively sharper images thanks to their sensors.

Now, if you are an Apple loyalist, or Oppo user, or simply a smartphone enthusiast, it should not hurt to mull over the prospects of Apple’s iPhone series coming under significant competition from Oppo’s futuristic phones that are set to be showcased at the MWC 2019. Do share your thoughts in this regard.
