Vivo’s new Z1 Pro is now the most affordable phone that you can buy in India with a punch-hole display – taking the said crown from Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy M40. Vivo has launched the Z1 Pro in as many as three configurations - 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. While the 4GB/64GB variant of the Z1 Pro has been launched at Rs 14,990, the 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variants will cost Rs 16,990 and Rs 17,990 respectively.

There’s a lot to like about the Vivo Z1 Pro – from design, to core hardware. Everything about it seems top-notch, and even though it has a notch, a punch-hole design ensures it’s going to be your least concern when you’re watching content on it. Also, Vivo is targeting gamers with its latest offering since the Z1 Pro is also the “official smartphone for PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019.”

Speaking of specs, the Vivo Z1 Pro comes with a 6.53-inch 1080p+ IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2340-pixel resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio thanks to its punch-hole style notch. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. Broadly speaking, the Vivo Z1 Pro will be available in three configurations - 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. The dual SIM phone runs Android Pie-based Funtouch OS 9. The Vivo Z1 Pro further packs a massive 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.

On to the cameras, the Vivo Z1 Pro comes with triple rear cameras – a 16MP main camera with f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and another 2MP sensor for portrait photography. On the front, the Z1 Pro comes with a 32MP camera embedded into the display cut-out.

In terms of design, even though the Vivo Z1 Pro is made entirely out of plastic, Vivo is using a glossy gradient finish on this one so it looks more like glass from afar – the phone will be available in three colours, Sonic Black, Sonic Blue and Mirror Black. Elsewhere, the Vivo Z1 Pro has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and micro-USB port for charging and data-syncing.

Vivo will start selling the Z1 Pro in India from July 11 from Flipkart and its own e-store.

“Innovation has been at the core of our India strategy. With the Z1 Pro, we’ve put performance at the forefront, ensuring a line of highly advanced products at budget friendly prices for consumers from all walks of life. This device caters especially to the increasing expectations of our Gen-Z consumers who are on a constant look-out for the best offerings and first-in-class innovative features. With the Z1 Pro, we are introducing a new breed of smartphones for India’s Generation-Z that are a blend of power-packed performance for a superior smartphone gaming experience and a refreshing design,” Nipun Marya, who is Director Brand Strategy, Vivo India said during the launch.
