A 5G-enabled Vivo smartphone is now almost confirmed to be unveiled in China on 26 June, at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai event. This phone should add to China’s existing 5G portal that also includes the likes of Huawei and ZTE phones; all of which are 5G compatible.
Now, as per a Weibo post (translated), a 5G device is imminent at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019) Shanghai. This device would definitely be Vivo-branded; but would there be a smartphone that is 5G-enabled or other hardware aspects such as 5G-hotspot hardware is a point that is worth pondering over at this point in time. This is because the Weibo post has teased a 5G device being potentially unveiled but does not explicitly mention that it would be a Vivo-branded smartphone.
Nonetheless, in case there is a 5G-enabled smartphone from Vivo, it would do the 5G ecosystem which is coming up rapidly across the globe a world of good.
As of now, the global 5G ecosystem is certainly picking up considering the fact that there have been devices such as Samsung’s Galaxy S10 5G edition that have been officially announced as global editions. Also, Vivo’s booth at the MWC 2019 Shanghai is currently the cynosure of eyes.
As for technical specifications, these details are yet to come to the fore – even unofficially; but what is confirmed is the 5G support/compatibility, that the unnamed Vivo device, teased by the official teaser, would offer.
