Apple is expected to launch the third generation of the Apple Pencil in India on Tuesday, featuring interchangeable magnetic tips for various tasks.

The Apple Pencil 3, according to tipster Majin Bu, will come with different tips designed for drawing, technical writing, and digital painting. The magnetic tips will easily fit into the Apple Pencil, making switching between them seamless. However, it remains unclear how Apple plans to prevent these tips from getting lost.

The second-generation Apple Pencil was launched in 2018 and is available in India for Rs 11,900 on the Apple Store online. This device magnetically attaches to 2018 and newer iPad Pro models, 2020 and newer iPad Air models, and the latest iPad Mini.

New iPad chipset

In addition to the Apple Pencil, Apple is also expected to introduce new chipsets for the iPad Air, iPad, and iPad Mini. The iPad Air is set to be powered by the M2 chipset, while the Mini will feature the A16 Bionic chip, also used in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models. Apple may also address the "jelly scrolling" issue that has affected the current iPad mini models.
