Yashwant's Varma Scandal: Fire at Delhi HC judge Yashwant Varma's residence allegedly led to recovery of huge sum of cash. According to reports, fire broke out at Justice Varma's official residence. His family members alerted the fire brigade and the police. After the fire was extinguished, the fire brigade personnel discovered a huge pile of cash, believed to be around Rs. 10 crore. The Delhi fire department has omitted the mention of the recovery of the pile of cash. The report has merely mentioned it as 'stationary', with no hint of cash recovery. On the other hand, the Supreme Court reacted to the issue by transferring Justice Yashwant Varma to Allahabad HC. In response, Allahabad HC Bar Association has hit back at SC Collegium over the transfer.
