Michael Douglas' arrival in India comes with the purpose of being honoured with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award at the 54th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. Reflecting on the honour, Douglas noted the paradigmatic impact Satyajit Ray has had on the vast landscape of cinema, calling the late legendary filmmaker, "a Renaissance man" in every sense of the term, lauding his multi-pronged prowess in filmmaking. The veteran Hollywood actor was also found musing about what brings him back to India time and again - this being his third trip to the country. While the country's colours, senses and vibrancy topped his list of reasons, what he finds most endearing is the friendliness of the people.
