Aurangzeb Row: Clashes Erupted Between Two Groups In Nagpur, CM Fadnavis Appeals For Peace

Tension gripped central Nagpur on Monday night following a dispute between two groups, leading to vandalism. The unrest began between 7 and 7:30 PM near Shivaji Chowk when slogans were raised by a large group. As another group joined in, police arrived to separate them and pushed the crowd back toward Chitnis Park. Suddenly, heavy stone-pelting began from the Bhaldar Pura area, targeting Nagpur police personnel. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis speaking on the violence in Nagpur, urged citizens to remain calm and cooperate with authorities. He reassured residents that the police handled the situation and stressed that misinformation should not be spread.
