IPL 2025: Virat Kohli Backs Rajat Patidar to Lead Royal Challengers Bengaluru 'For a Long Time'

Just days before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Virat Kohli extended support to Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) newly appointed captain Rajat Patidar, and said that the 31-year-old will be leading the franchise for a long time. Patidar took over the captain's responsibility from Faf du Plessis, who was not retained by the Bengaluru-based franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 mega-auction. Kohli himself led RCB for more than a decade but stepped down from his role in the 2022 season of the cash-rich tournament.
