This 18-Year-Old with ‘Werewolf Syndrome’ Just Made Guinness World Record History For......

Viral Video: Lalit Patidar, an 18-year-old from Madhya Pradesh, has made history by securing a Guinness World Record for having the hairiest face on a male.

His face is covered with 201.72 hairs per square centimetre, making him one of the rarest cases of hypertrichosis, a condition often referred to as "werewolf syndrome." More than 95% of his face is covered in hair, and he is among only 50 known cases recorded since the Middle Ages.  

Lalit’s journey has been anything but easy. As a child, his unique appearance initially frightened his classmates. However, over time, they came to understand that he was no different from them. "They were scared at first, but after talking to me, they realized I was just like them. Only my looks are different," he shared with GWR.

Rather than letting his condition define him, Lalit has fully embraced his uniqueness. He runs a YouTube channel, sharing snippets of his daily life, and remains confident in his identity. Recently, he traveled to Milan, Italy, to appear on Lo Show dei Record, where a trichologist officially measured his facial hair, confirming his record-breaking feat.  

Upon receiving the title, Lalit expressed his excitement, saying, "I am speechless. I don’t know what to say because I am very happy to get this recognition." While some have suggested that he remove his facial hair, Lalit remains firm in his decision to stay true to himself. "I like how I am, and I don’t want to change my look," he asserted.
