Caught On Camera: Robbers Loot Jewellery Shop in Rajasthan's Bhiwada, 5 People Injured

Jaipur: A video of jewellery shop roberry and a murder has surfaced on social media. The video is of Rajasthan's Bhiwada area, where a few robbers looted the jewellery shop, leaving four injured and one dead.

A jewellery shop owner died after being shot at by some unidentified people during a loot in his shop in Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district, police said on Saturday.

The incident happened in the central market of the Bhiwada area on Friday when shop owner Jai Soni, his brother Madhusudan Soni, and guard Sujan Singh were at the shop, police said.

According to the police, five unidentified people who came in a car robbed into the shop and attacked the owner and others present in the jewellery shop.

The accused looted the shop and opened fire, during which Jai, Madhusudan, and Sujan sustained bullet injuries, they said, adding that Jai succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Police teams have been formed to search for and identify the accused on the basis of CCTV footage, Jaipur Range Inspector-General of Police, Anil Kumar Tank, said.

The injured are undergoing treatment at a local hospital, he added. Meanwhile, the traders association here is holding a protest demanding the immediate arrest of the accused after the incident.

BJP MLA Baba Balaknath and senior police officials reached the protest site to hold talks with the traders and resolve the issue.

Five robbers looted a jewellery shop in the Bhiwadi area of Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district on Friday evening and opened fire, during which five people, including the owner of the store, got injured, the police said.

The incident occurred in the central market of Bhiwadi, where the robbers, who came in a car, entered the jewellery shop and opened fire, in which shop owner Kamlesh Soni and a guard were injured. Three others also got injured during the chaos.

Bhiwadi Police has also released a statement on social media after the video went viral: ‘In the free case, case number 523/2024 has been registered under sections 111 (2 (A),310 (2),311BNSS,3/25,27 Arams Act, and further investigation is going on.’

The accused fled from the spot after the robbery. Special teams have been formed to identify and locate them, the police said, adding that the injured are being treated at a local hospital.
