Chennai Firm Rewards Employees with 28 Cars, Including Mercedes

Chennai: A Chennai-based structural steel design and detailing company has gifted 28 cars and 29 bikes to its employees, setting a positive example amidst recent conversations surrounding toxic work culture. This gesture aims to enhance productivity and motivate employees.

The company, known for its employee-friendly initiatives over the past six years, presented brand-new cars from Hyundai, Tata, Maruti Suzuki , and Mercedes Benz to recognize employees' hard work and dedication.

Managing Director Sridhar Kannan stated, "We wanted to appreciate our employees' tireless efforts driving our success. They are our greatest assets." 

Employee contributions were evaluated based on performance and years of service.

Following which the company selects highly motivated candidates for whom buying a car or bike is a dream. Previously, they gifted bikes and two cars to senior colleagues in 2022. Now, 28 cars have been gifted.

The company provides a ceiling amount for the vehicle, allowing employees to upgrade by paying the difference. Additionally, marriage assistance has been increased to Rs 1 lakh from Rs 50,000.

"This gesture will boost morale, motivation, and productivity," Kannan said. "We prioritize employee development and customer satisfaction."
