A court hearing revealed that former Miss Scotland, Lucy Thomson, has been booked for biting a security guard and racially abusing him.
Under the influence of alcohol at a rugby event, Thomson, who was crowned the winner of the beauty contest, sank her teeth into one of the guards and directed racial slurs at him. The incident led to her removal from the Edinburgh City 7s rugby competition in June 2023.
While physically attacking the security guard, the 26-year-old reportedly asked, “Do you know who I am?” and boasted about her wealth, saying, “I’ve got so much money in my account.”
Thomson was arrested after the guard called the police to report her use of racist language. Clips showing Thomson and her sister being escorted out of the tournament by security staff surfaced online.

Reports indicate that she also bit a second security officer during the altercation.
Following the incident, the Miss Scotland organization later dethroned her of the title.

Thomson denied the allegations but was found guilty following a two-day trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.
Speaking to international media, the security guard revealed that he was called around 7 PM to deal with an intoxicated woman and escort her out of the venue.
He stated that while he was attempting to remove her, she became aggressive.
“We were holding her and trying to be as gentle as possible, and as I had my arm up, she went to bite it. It left a mark on my hand.”
Describing the incident as “horrible,” the security guard said, “When she bit me, I was shocked, and she proceeded to call me the N-word.”
Thomson claimed she was invited as “an ambassador” to promote the rugby tournament on her social media.
Despite denying the accusations and providing evidence, the court convicted her of assaulting the guards and using racial abuse.
The former beauty queen was fined £790 and was officially dethroned from her Miss Scotland title.
