California: Just before breaking the world record of continuous sleeplessness for 265 hours, YouTuber Norme had his live stream banned by the social media platform after staying awake for 250 hours on the stream.
He had been streaming for over 250 hours in an attempt to break a no-sleep world record.
During the stream, Norme's brother Don assisted him in staying awake by splashing water on him and making him stand up whenever he got too exhausted. With over a million followers, Norme's stream quickly went viral, attracting many viewers eager to see him stay awake. As the live stream continued, viewers grew increasingly concerned as Norme exhibited severe signs of sleep deprivation, including fainting, hallucinating, and becoming incoherent.
He posted a picture of himself in front of a computer screen, showing the message from YouTube that said his stream had been removed.

A large number of viewers felt that the challenge has gone beyond acceptable limits and have flooded the chat with messages urging Norme to stop for his own safety. Some people are even trying to find Norme’s location to send medical help. Despite these concerns, the livestream continues without interruption.
Various users on social media platform said that Norme’s behavior was increasingly erratic, as he bangs his head, throws off his headphones, screams frantically, and creates chaos around him. He not only loses his composure but also his mental stability. After damaging his video equipment, including the green screen, he even removes his clothes, unable to manage the situation rationally.
